And my opinion: GREAT! Adrian Grenier, the star of HBO's hit series ENTOURAGE, created a gripping documentary, and explored not only the life of a celebrity photographer, but stardom, tabloids, gossip and fame itself. After playing a celebrity on screen and thus becoming one in real life, Grenier was annoyed by and curious about the world of celebrity photographers. He met young Austin Visschedyk, wo started taking paparazzi photos at the age of 13, and takes a step back to think about the celebrity-obsessed culture that has produced the boy. Grenier starts hanging out with the boy, learning the terms of the business, as well as what made Austin want to spent his free time running after celebrities and trying to get the "perfect shot. Statements of Hollywood stars like Alec Baldwin, Paris Hilton, Matt Damon and Lindsay Lohan sprayed Greniers documentary and give the viewer a real insight on the other side of the lense.
TEENAGE PAPARAZZO (2010, 95min, HBO) is an entertaining and surprising informative look at the relationship between celebrities and those, who often create their fame, the paparazzi! AND: Adrien Grenier's documentary is a fantastic look at ourselves in regard to our hunger for a celebrity news diet!!! I really was captivated by the story and appreciated the authenticity of how the story was told. It's really worth watching, not only because of Adrien Grenier!
