Now we have the last days before it is getting REALLY cold! But last week we had a few nice days and so we went to a sailing trip to the Bodensee - I guess the last one this year!
Oh, I am just wondering how I will survive November,...

I ❀: MOROCCANOIL
I have terrible frizzy hair, that's why I actually iron my hair almost everyday. Thus, I was looking for a product that would eliminate the frizz and at the same time protect it from damage and drying. In different beautymagazines and blogs I read a lot about the "wonderful treatments with Moroccanoil". So I became curious: What's the deal with Moroccanoil?
Moroccan oil is another name for Argan oil which is made from the kernels of argan tree fruit that grow almost exclusively in Morocco. In the internet you can read a lot about the value and effect of this product. But here is what you really need to know in a nut shell: the oil is a rich emollient that can moisturize hair and skin. When you use it for the skin it can potentially cause zits so be careful if you’re prone to breakouts. When you have a look at its ingredients you will see, that most of the product is made up of various silicones. That’s not a bad thing at all, silicone-based antifrizz products are very effective. Remember John Frieda’s Frizz- Ease? But just be aware that you’re not buying pure Argan oil. However, when you use it for your hair it promises:
* reviving your hair* strengthening and conditioning
* reducing the drying time.
Well, THAT sounds perfect from the start! But lives Moroccanoil up to its promises?
A few days ago I ordered THE ORIGINAL MOROCCANOIL® OIL TREATMENT (25g) via amazon.com. A very small bottle for EUR 13,95.
The first time I tried this product and spread it on my wet hair, I actually felt that my hair just immediately absorbed it and my hair dried fast naturally. Not only does it reduce the drying time by half, I hope it also protects my hair from the damaging effects of blow dryers and hair irons. So, I think it is a great product for dry hair to increase shine and decrease the frizzes.
And besides the shine and the smoothness, my absolutely favorite thing about Moroccan Oil is how it makes my hair SMELL. It has a musky scent with a touch of sweetness and does not conflict with any perfume I may wear.
So my conlusion: it appears to be a well formulated hair tamer, makes your hair shiny and smooth and it has a WONDERFUL scent! I really love it! (However, if you’re looking for pure Argan oil, you should consider other products). Now I am very curious how it works in the long run!!

I ✂: EYES LIKE COCO
Today is a rainy dark day. Autumn is coming! I spent most of the day at home, trying to write on my screenplay, but it didn't work out. So I went on a little shopping trip into the city. And I found some stuff to "open my eyes"!
The eyeshadow is really fabulous! The colors are perfect for my green-brown eyes! The mascara is also very nice, however it is not as perfect as my other one from L'Oreal.
Do you know what color were Coco Chanel's eyes?

I ❀: EXTRATAPETE FOR EXTRAORDINARY WALLS
Any wall is perfect for display, whatever its size, shape or style. On my last trip to Paris I found a panoramic border of one of my favorite city L.A. in a little shop in St. Germain. What a lovely idea to display a city along the wall. panoramic border of one of my favorite city L.A. in a little shop in St. Germain. What a lovely idea to display a city along the wall.
At home I researched online and found extratapete.de. They offer wallpapers from the roll, but never run of the mill: patterned wallpapers, photo wallpapers, graphic image wallpapers and panoramic borders!
My favorites are of course the Big Cities, and of course it's an absolute must-have for my next flat. I just wonder ... Paris or L.A.??
Oh, why isn't there one of N.Y.C.??

I ✈: MONACO MOSAIQUE
During our trip to the French Riviera we visited the world's second smallest country Monaco (only the Vatican City is smaller). It was my first time to be there and I see the state as a very special place! When I read in my guidebook that it has the world's highest life expectancy at almost 90 years, and the lowest unemployment rate, I thought this wouldn't be the worst place to live!
We strolled through the city and I had a look into the famous Hotel Paris next to the Monte Carlo Casino. I went into the lobby and it was really very magnificent and exquisite with glossy lusters, Florence marble and wonderful flowers. Also, not the worst place to spend a night,...
Next to the Hotel Paris there is a shop of one of my favorite luxury brands: Van Cleef & Arpels! They really have wonderful jewelrys! And in the show window I threw a glace at one georgeous piece of the limited edition of 15 sets of jewels Van Cleef & Arpels has created for the charities of H.S.H. Princess Charlene of Monaco. This special collection hinges on a subtle reinterpretation of the iconic Alhambra motif, which was birthed in 1968. The wonderful pieces are with pavé diamonds and turquoises and are really beautiful!!
Oh, georgeous Monaco, I will be back!!
When we went up to the Grimaldi Palace we had a fantastic view over Monaco and because all the high-rise buildings with their different colors, the state reminded me of a mosaique.
